Home Town Feed and Seed is owned and operated by Beth and Tom Farr and we are excited to have our 2 children, Max and Gabby involved in the day to day.
Our family relocated to the area from Schomberg in 2016 and we are so happy to make Muskoka our home. Our family has been busy growing a small hobby farm in Newholm which started as 100 acres of bush and has progressed to be the home of horses, goats, chickens and turkeys. With this comes some first hand experience of what it means to farm in Muskoka, a challenging yet rewarding part of the province to farm in. We work hard to understand the unique challenges of growing seasons, logistics and marketing farm produce.
Tom grew up in a family lumber business and continues to run a successful specialty lumber business, so stay tuned for some new items in the store. Beth has worked as a Human Resources Professional in the food and paper industry for more than 20 years.
While pursuing our careers, family time has always included renovations, building everything from gardens boxes to a tiny home, gardening/landscaping and now hobby farming. We look forward to working together and continuing to serve customers and the community through Home Town Feed and Seed.
